An hour of blood, sweat & tears
Alex Dowsett will set out to make history. The Hour Record is known as one of the pinnacles of human endurance within cycling. Put simply, it’s the longest distance a cyclist can ride within one hour. Alex will be aiming to cycle in excess of 55.089 km in 60 minutes at the Aguascalientes Velodrome in Mexico to break the current record.
The attempt is all in the name of haemophilia, a condition which Alex was born with. Alex is the only known elite sportsperson that competes in an able-bodied field with haemophilia and wants to show the world that a medical condition doesn’t define you. It drives you.
